Position: GIS Project Manager/Business Analyst

Location: Remote - Must Live in North Carolina

Duration: 12+ Month Contract, typically multi-year

Pay Rate Range: $50-60/hr

Requirements:
  • 5+ Years Project Managing SDLC projects from inception through delivery
  • Requirements gathering and documentation experience; analytical mindset
  • Enterprise project experience
  • GIS (Esri ArcGIS) experience
  • Experience running daily stand up meetings
  • Tools experience: MS DevOps (or similar) and MS Visio (or similar)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Summary:
  • The position will be assigned to the GIS Unit to specifically provide advanced GIS focused project management and business analysis support to the GIS Units Technical Team.
  • This position will directly support the Application Development, Spatial Database, Geospatial Services, Systems Engineering and Architecture teams.
  • The responsibilities of this support position are to coordinate the delivery of high-quality applications and services across several enterprise technical teams and to provide detailed schedule and resource information to the units Project Controls Analyst for the benefit of resource planning and scheduling.
  • In addition, this role will be directly involved in gathering and documenting requirements for specific projects as well as tracking and guiding tasks on those projects and also assisting with managing project timelines.
  • In certain circumstances the role will also involve assisting with the testing and troubleshooting of system issues, and facilitation of collaboration around the delivery of the software.
  • The candidate will use Microsoft DevOps on a regular basis in support of these efforts.
