Title: Software Quality Assurance (SQA) DO-178C
Length of Contract: 12+ Months
Fort Worth, TX (On-site)
Background Check and Drug Screen Required
Scope: DO-178C has a dedicated section for SQA activities, especially in Section 6.3 (Software Quality Assurance Process).
SQA Responsibilities under DO-178C:
- Assure adherence to software plans:
- Ensure the project follows the Software Development Plan (SDP), SVP (Software Verification Plan), SCMP (Configuration Management Plan), and SQAP (Software Quality Assurance Plan).
- Audit processes and artifacts:
- Perform audits on:
- Requirements development
- Design
- Code implementation
- Verification (test plans, procedures, results)
- Configuration and change management
- Non-conformance reporting:
- Identify and track process non-compliances and product defects.
- Ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Independence:
- SQA must be independent from development and verification teams (especially for DAL A/B).
- Certification support:
- Provide documentation, audit records, and compliance evidence to DER (Designated Engineering Representative) or FAA.
