Network Engineer (Data Center)

Duration: 12 months contract to start

Location: Abilene, TX

This is a 24/7/365 position on-site in Abilene, Texas, and includes day/night shift, weekend and holiday work with occasional travel based on business requirements.
Be able to work on a shift schedule that rotates ( 8 to 12-hour shifts), including weekends and holidays. Data center networking knowledge.
Experience in Data Center Infrastructure projects.
5 year+ experience in Structured Cabling Copper/Fiber and testing of cables.

Candidates need to be able to demonstrate knowledge of fundamental networking concepts such as TRUNK, VLANs, OSPF, or BGP, which are essential for the role.

Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.
Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
