We are on a journey to build Walmart's Warehouse Management System platform and leverage it across our enterprise - including US Walmart, Sam's Club and Walmart International. The right candidate will be on the front-side of this initiative helping influence and shape the platform and its adoption. We are a fortune 1 company, however we have to execute like a startup. What you'll do:
As Group Director of Engineering for Warehouse Management, you will be managing a team of engineers. The role entails the following responsibilities:
What you'll bring:
Experience in Data, developing Platforms (frontend and backend) and distributed systems.
Strong senior level engineering leadership expertise in medium to large size company.
Proven experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineering teams
Leading large-scale systems in fast-paced environments, startup experience is a plus
Expertise in multiple distributed technologies (e.g. Spark/Storm, Kafka, Microservices. Etc)
Experience in one or more public cloud technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Azure, etc.
Experience in working in large teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies.
Excellent communication skills.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 15+ years of industry experience.

The annual salary range for this position is $195,000.00-$370,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

- Own, influence, and execution of product roadmaps for key Growth areas.
- Work with a team of Architects and Tech Leads to define, own and implement the technology strategy for providing deep insights, recommendations to drive growth
- Manage the engineering organization through other directors and senior engineering managers.
- Hire talent, mentor and grow the team
- Drive e2e solutions across the supply chain
- Drive and measure operational and engineering excellence across the organization
- Partner with other functional leaders to build and accelerate roadmap
- Do effective stakeholder management, combining communication, interpersonal, and strategic skills to build relationships, manage expectations, and achieve shared goals across business, operations, product, and engineering teams.
- Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve customer issues.
What you'll bring:
