Creates, develops, implements, documents, evaluates and improves procedures and processes required to safely manufacture quality products. Primary processes include mixing, extruding,calendering, and compression and injection molding elastomers.

Clarity of vision to see near and mid-range. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate withoperators,productengineers, and tool engineers to ensure product and tools are designed to optimize manufacturability of products.
- Develop, evaluate, improve,and document neworexistingmanufacturing processes, materials and/or equipment.
- Develop and implement process control methods, systems and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Design with SolidWorks, coordinate, improve, and validate new or replacement tooling, molds, fixtures, and/or dies required to manufacture products.
- Identify and documentsafe andefficient processes and proceduresby creating and maintainingjob safety analysis, work instructions, and lock out / tag out procedures.
- Develops, designs, and implements new manufacturing processes and equipment along with associated tooling or fixtures.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes fornew manufacturingequipment and createequipment specifications, scope of work, and capital appropriation request (CAR), if required.
- Work with manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
- Estimate or measure labor requirements, setup time, cycle time and costs to manufacture products.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance with trouble shooting and resolving technical problems.
- Analyze manufacturing processesfor enhancements to safety, quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
- Support business unit goals and objectives, safety initiatives, quality initiatives,continuous improvementinitiatives, and company policies and procedures
- Keeps supervisor regularly informed of all activities and carries out special assignments as directed.
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field through study of technical literatureand membership in technical societies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSdegreein Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or ChemicalEngineering. Other educational background with relevant experience.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
