Project = This individual will be joining the Medical Pharmacy Team to support existing client enhancements. This is with the Prior Auth (prior-authorization) team specifically within the Med Pharm Space. Prior Auth relates to drugs that aren't typically covered by insurance and require prior authorization from the prescriber (Dr, PA, etc..) to be covered by the members insurer.

Doing: Adding existing clients to programs/services they don't currently have access to.

This team doesn't do much greenfield or use the latest and greatest tech, so candidates need to be comfortable stepping into a team that works on a lot of enhancements and uses older tech.
The ideal candidate can work independently and has a problem solver mind set.

Position Overview: Purpose The Software Engineer Principal IT is responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases. This position is responsible for ongoing development, maintenance, support and architecture of existing systems and platforms. This position provides thought leadership and champions software architecture, software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices.

Responsible for ensuring technology solutions are designed to meet resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases. Responsible for ongoing development, maintenance and support of existing systems and platforms.
Provide thought leadership and champion software engineering best practices, innovative solutioning and Agile and Dev Ops best practices.
Own technology solutions within area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap communication of overall health and future sustainability.
Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure and Security to ensure excellence in solution design and evolution of systems architecture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
8 years of extensive technical experience in variety of application development or package software implementations.
Proven experience of ongoing education related to technology trends within software development and support.
Proven experience with multiple development and support methodologies. Ability to manage work direction and lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback to others within team.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Ability to drive innovation and be forward thinking.
Excellent written, technical, and verbal communication skills.

Established presenter of technical and non-technical material adapted to the respective audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Engineering. Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.). Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery model. Understanding of security implications of domain. Previous experience in health care industry
