Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer to join our CAD team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will contribute to the development of advanced design applications, focusing on tools used for framing layouts in the housing industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team specializing in truss design and leveraging modern software development principles.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain CAD-based applications using C++ and C#.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create efficient and user-friendly tools for housing design.
Contribute to the development and optimization of on-premises and cloud-hybrid systems.
Implement and test software solutions to ensure high quality and performance.
Apply software development best practices, including unit testing and code abstraction, to deliver robust applications.
Adapt knowledge of IntelliCAD and similar platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to enhance application functionality.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand and refine product requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.
Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for future reference.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements into the development process.

Requirements

Proficiency in C++ and C# with a strong understanding of the .NET Framework.
Experience developing software for CAD systems such as IntelliCAD, AutoCAD, or Revit.
Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-hybrid environments.
Solid knowledge of software development principles, including abstraction and unit testing.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A background in civil engineering or similar fields is a plus but not required.
