Description

The Medical Engineering team has a need for a Biomedical Integration Consultant to support the seamless integration and migration of the PACS systems across newly acquired hospital sites. This role is critical in ensuring interoperability between biomedical devices, imaging systems, and enterprise IT infrastructure, while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and minimizing clinical disruption. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with radiology, IT, clinical engineering, and vendor teams to develop and execute migration plans. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to biomedical devices and imaging systems. Ensure DICOM and HL7 integration between imaging modalities, PACS, RIS, and EMR systems. Project Details: Brown Health recently acquired two hospitals/sites in Massachusetts (Morton Hospital, St. Anne's Hospital, Hawthorne Medical Associates). They are implementing Epic across these sites with a Go-Live date of 8/24/2025. The clinical/medical engineering team will need to migrate PACS systems across all of the acquired sites by 8/24. Top Skills: Knowledge with HL7, medical device networking, servers and storage for various modalities, such as but not limited to CT, MR, IR, Rad/Fluoro, Mammo, ultrasound imaging systems, EKG machines, etc. made by, GE, Philips, Siemens, FUJI, Hologic, Sonosite, and other vendors. Proficient with medical device Windows and Linux based utilities on configuring network interoperability with PACS and EMR. Understanding of basic networking DICOM knowledge. Have some devices on VPN Tunnels. High volume of equipment CT, MRI, etc Variety of configuration tools to get this work done Strong communication skills - will be interacting with vendors and Medical team The work is built off routine but this person needs a strong understanding of the networks and devices as they will be working independently

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
