Network Engineer

This is a 6-month contract to hire, no CTC or 3rd parties at this time

Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Irving, TX

Seeking a Network Engineer to expertly manage network infrastructure and operations. This role involves interacting across technical and business hierarchies and overseeing external vendors for a reliable network environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure stability and integrity of data, video, voice over IP, and wireless network services through planning, designing, and developing LANs, WANs, VPNs, and network security.
• Lead installation, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of network hardware, software, and communication links.
• Resolve network issues promptly and provide end-user training.
• Collaborate on strategic plans for network capacity, manage network security, and develop performance testing methodologies.
• Establish and maintain network resource policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

• BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-5 years in Network support with mid-size to large enterprise networks.
• Proficiency in Cisco routing, wifi, and Fortigate firewall.
• Experience in Enterprise networks and team collaboration.
• Certifications: CCNP/R&S and Security, Cisco ACI, Palo Alto IPS/IDS are preferred.
• Scripting automation skills (Python).
• Additional Cisco certifications (CCDP/CCSP/CCIE R&S and Security) are advantageous.
