Essential Duties of theTelecommunications Mechanic:
- Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), specifically Avaya Systems CM4.0
- Troubleshooting and repair of switch issues
- Software updates and patching
- Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD standards
Qualifications of theTelecommunications Mechanic:
- Associate's degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity preferred but not required
- 2-5 years related professional experience, including support of DoD networks
- IAT Level II certification (Sec +, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security) preferred but not required
Compensation for theTelecommunications Mechanic:
- $65,000 - $75,000 (based on experience)
