Principal Software Engineer

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commitment to be onsite 40 hours a week to perform troubleshooting in the avionics lab.
• Ability to design experiments on HW/SW systems to determine root cause of customer reported issues.
• Extensive experience analyzing low level C code and debugging device drivers.
• Experience with hardware boot or low level i/o preferred.
• Experienced with using debuggers within embedded operating systems.
• Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications/operating systems. Also, coordinates work teams.
• Provides technical support to project team members.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• May provide consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• May report to an executive or a manager.
