Job Details

Description
Install, maintain, and repair computer hardware and software at both the main office and regional job
sites. Answer questions and provide technical assistance and support for internal and external clients
throughout the region. Help with the use of computer, handhelds, and peripheral hardware, including, but
not limited to, operating systems, printing, installation, integration, email, and enterprise software. Ensure
proper licensing and configuration of installed client-based software. Aid in the general administration,
validation, and upkeep of companywide software's and utilities. Assist in managing the day-to-day/routine
networking operations to include the corporate and jobsite networks.
1. Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
a. Be a champion to support IIF efforts for working safely and building a culture of care and
concern for each team member in the workplace.
b. Consistently communicate and reinforce the tenets of an IIF workplace.
c. Ensure adherence to processes and procedures that support an IIF culture.
d. Comply with all company safety requirements and policies.
2. Deliver technical support that is tailored to support business needs.
a. Install and perform repairs on hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following the
design or installation specifications in the office and job site locations.
b. Confer with users, reference technical manuals, and conduct computer diagnostics to
determine the nature of problems; provide assistance.
c. Test and monitor hardware and peripheral equipment to evaluate use, effectiveness, and
adequacy of the product for the user.
d. Coordinate the setup and deployment of computer hardware and software.
e. Install, update, and troubleshoot stand-alone computer software applications.
f. Set-up job site networks, including, but not limited to, high speed internet connections and
wireless networks.
g. Maintain system for detailing hardware/software inventory and problem resolution
activities.
h. Provide hands on support of local server(s) and the local computer networks while working
in conjunction with the support staff.
i. Create and maintain a monitoring, trending, and alerting system for all network devices
and connections to minimize faults and failures of the network environment.
j. Troubleshoot system issues and help drive to resolution using tools such as traffic flow
and packet capture utilities.
3. Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and
workstation hardware/software.
4. Coordinate both on-boarding of new user equipment ordering, delivery, and set-up and offboarding users by collecting company equipment and removal of system.
5. Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment.
6. Work with other IT team members regarding new branch and construction site builds and
upgrades.
7. Assist others in the IT department.
a. Assist in the support of video conferencing and presentation equipment.
b. Collaborate with IT professionals in other regional offices.
c. Assist with local hardware and software purchases to ensure proper business approval,
licensing, and best value while controlling costs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
1. History of progressively more responsible experience and proven results including:
a. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 2+ years of desktop experience
or a combination of education and relevant experience.
b. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, O365, Windows 10, and various handheld devices.
c. Strong customer support mentality.
d. Ability to quickly and correctly diagnosis and problem solve issues.
2. Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
3. Ability and willingness to travel.
4. Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a support function.
5. Basic understanding of imaging software such as Microsoft's SCCM platform.
6. Basic understanding on the use PowerShell for configuration and management of client-side
Windows environment.
7. Mobility experience specifically with iPhone/iOS setup and support as well as administration via
MDM tools (Specific tool used is Cisco Meraki Device Manager).
8. Basic understanding and experience in TCP/IP, setup, management, and troubleshooting of
common wired and wireless devices (CompTIA Network+).
9. Demonstrated ability to install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers, computer hardware,
and any other authorized peripheral equipment (CompTIA +).
10. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and priorities and be reactive to business needs
with little or no warning.
11. Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking and analysis to problem solve IT/Desktop related
issues.
12. Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse work groups using effective communication and
interpersonal skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
