Job Title: Lead Test Engineer

Location: On Site – Brooklyn, NY

Work Schedule: Normal business hours, Monday through Friday (35 hours/week)

Assignment Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Test Engineer to oversee all aspects of testing for enterprise-level projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating testing activities across multiple teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results and adherence to established processes and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all facets of testing: functional, regression, user, and integration testing.

  • Coordinate and plan test execution across the enterprise to prevent conflicts and ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to testing processes, standards, and timelines throughout the organization.

  • Assess and guide team members on test plans, scenarios, scripts, and testing approaches to ensure strong project execution.

  • Define test strategies and lead execution to achieve superior outcomes.

  • Drive QA metrics and reporting using raw data from test scripts.

  • Develop, update, and execute Test Plans and Test Scripts based on project requirements.

  • Write, optimize, and execute Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) test plans across the enterprise.

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a relevant technical or business application, product, platform, methodology, or skill set.

  • Proven ability to create comprehensive test plans, scripts, and templates for system software performance testing.

  • Demonstrated experience working with both technical and non-technical staff.

  • Experience as a QA lead involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience creating testing estimates and managing testing schedules.

  • Experience managing/coordinating large testing projects across multiple applications and teams.

  • Experience with testing on various technology platforms.

  • Ability to set direction and create performance test plans for multiple projects and applications.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience testing controlled interfaces such as TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, and custom protocols.

  • Extensive Public Safety experience in UAT planning and execution, or related experience.

  • Knowledge of Client-Server computing, LAN/WAN technology, Network Operating Systems, and related communications protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, SIP).

  • Familiarity with 911 Telephony Systems, Logging & Recording Systems, Computer Aided Dispatch Systems, Radio Console Systems.

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, influencing, and coaching skills.

  • Subject Matter Expertise in Enterprise Integration for multiple complex applications within the Public Safety domain.
