Job Details

Location: Stamford, CT Tues/Wed for roughly a month then remote unless issues arise. Would also need to be will to travel to the NYC office as needed(roughly once a quarter)
-someone who can be relatively close to the Stamford office, who can be there if any issues pop up

-Network engineering with Palo Alto experience
-also using Palo Alto Prisma Access & Akamai Guardicor
-Needs the Palo Alto experience role
-Joining an infrastructure team, but there is no network engineer here currently
-Very remote flexible
YOUR ROLE
The Network Engineer is responsible for the management and optimization of our edge, backbone, datacenter, and cloud networks, while ensuring the security and integrity of our systems. This individual will have expertise in Cisco networks, network security concepts, and hands-on support of network equipment. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our campus networking solutions and contributing to network operations and projects.
What you will be doing
Provide daily support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networking solutions.
Assist in network and network security projects and processes, such as microsegmentation and SASE deployments, compliance monitoring, troubleshooting, and new product evaluation and deployment.
Configure, deploy, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Cisco network equipment.
Monitor network performance logs and respond to reported issues to improve user experience.
Perform software upgrades, patches, and maintenance tasks as needed.
Ensure secure and seamless connectivity for remote users and branch offices.
Continuously assess the effectiveness of network security controls and policies, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

What you bring
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in network operations and support.
Knowledge of security technologies including Palo Alto firewalls, RADIUS, VPN, etc.
Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, etc.
Experience with security management and orchestration tools such as Tufin or ServiceNow.
Ability to lift and install network and network security equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
