Job Summary: The Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion for Delviom. This leadership position is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, forging key partnerships, and driving revenue growth through new business initiatives. The role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the industry, exceptional strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills. The position requires the ability to work full spectrum Business Development from the identification of new opportunities to pursuit, capture, and proposal submission. This position also requires the ability to interface with government customers on a regular basis. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer of Delviom. This is a hybrid job position with an expectation of working from Delviom Headquarters, in Ashburn, at least two- three days per week.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Planning and execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development pipeline aligned with the company's objectives to achieve revenue and market share growth.
  • New Business Identification and Capture: Achieve revenue targets by identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities. Foster a culture of sales excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and threats. Stay informed about competitor activities and market shifts.
  • Partnership Development: Establish and maintain relationships with potential partners, clients, and key stakeholders. Collaborate on mutually beneficial business ventures.
  • Product and Service Expansion: Evaluate and recommend new product or service offerings that align with market demands and company capabilities.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, agreements, and partnerships to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage bid and proposal allocations to optimize resource allocation and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team, highlighting key performance metrics and progress toward growth goals.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and proven track record in business development, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Working knowledge of the Federal Government Cybersecurity market space is essential. It is preferred that the candidate have one or more of these qualifications: CompTIA A+, CISSP and or PMP certification.
  • Candidate must have at least a Secret security clearance, Top Secret is preferred.
  • Deep industry knowledge and an extensive network of industry contacts. Preferred experience within DOD, DHS and/or the Federal Civilian marketplace.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. Full familiarity with the Shipley s capture process and a proven track record of winning new business in the Cybersecurity and/or Enterprise IT market.
  • Ability to improvise, adapt and overcome challenges. An inquisitive mind and a thirst for knowledge. Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment and make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Willingness to travel as required to establish and maintain business relationships with government and industry customers and partners.
