Principal Java/Kafka Developer

Job Description:

• Bachelor's or post-primary degree in a Technology-related subject area.


• Experience in building full stack web solutions.


• Passion for delivering the best end user journeys.


• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, RESTful services, JUnit.


• Expertise building cloud-compatible apps using Java/Spring Boot/Kafka/Oracle - must have recently been hands-on with a heavily multi-threaded app; streams, exception handling, data structures, event-driven architecture. and scalability for high-volume messaging queues.


• Good Oracle: PL/SQL Stored procedures and SQL queries.


• Kafka for high volume messaging queues.


• Financial services experience, specifically on a trading application, strongly preferred.
