Senior System Engineer
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $129,000 - $149,800 per year
Location: Sunnyvale, CA - Hybrid Role
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, install, and upgrade the software and hardware that form our test lab infrastructure.
- Oversee and troubleshoot system performance.
- Extend monitoring tools to cover additional use cases.
- Expand existing documentation.
- Research and diagnose failures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- BS in computer science, IT, or related field. Alternatively, 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience building, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux servers at scale, both locally and remotely
- Experience with automation in a production environment using Bash, Python, or Golang
- Experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Salt
- Experience creating documentation
Preferred Skills:
- Experience as a Software Engineer using any programming language; able to recognize code issues
- Experience supporting and enabling iPhone and Android app development
- Knowledge of networking, including TCP or OSI layers, NAT, IPv6, VLANs, and firewalls
