RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Digital Execution Analyst (API QA Tester) in Birmingham, AL.
Summary:
Our client is seeking a Digital Execution Analyst to support eBusiness and Agile delivery teams. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity focused on backend/API quality assurance and digital execution in a highly collaborative Agile environment. You will serve as a QA tester and SME across multiple Agile teams, with responsibilities spanning API validation, test case execution, system integration, and user story refinement. Candidates should have a strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), backend testing tools like Postman and Swagger, and experience in enterprise digital environments.
Core Responsibilities:
* Validate documented functionality against actual system behavior; Identify and categorize bugs and enhancements
* Conduct backend/API testing using Postman and Swagger
* Write, refine, and manage user stories and test cases in JIRA and QTest
* Perform integration and QA testing for new releases, enhancements, and defect remediation
* Track, document, and communicate testing outcomes and system issues to relevant teams
* Serve as a liaison across Agile teams and act as a subject matter expert on functionality and system behavior
* Assist in the creation and ongoing maintenance of system documentation
* Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless delivery
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related experience or High School diploma/GED and 7+ years of experience
* 2-5 years of experience in QA, digital execution, or backend testing roles
* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, with transition to Kanban)
* Strong familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger)
* Proficient in JIRA and QTest
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
* Willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call support if required
Preferred Qualifications:
* SAFe Practitioner (SP) certification
* Experience supporting banking or financial services platforms
* Prior exposure to application support or production troubleshooting
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
