Job Description

NBC Universal's flagship television station in the vibrant Dallas/Fort Worth region, KXAS TV, is currently seeking a dynamic News Reporter to join its esteemed team. This pivotal role involves meticulously gathering news information and skillfully presenting it across broadcast, streaming, and online platforms. We are seeking an individual with an insatiable drive to cover headline stories, adept at crafting compelling enterprise content, proficient in breaking news coverage, with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of or experience in reporting on city government affairs. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience in television reporting
Demonstrated history of excelling in live reporting and compelling storytelling
Proficiency in contributing to website content
Ability to effortlessly ad-lib in diverse situations, particularly during breaking news coverage
Capable of thriving under intense deadline pressure

Desired Characteristics:
Fluent in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing
Preferably skilled in general assignment reporting
Demonstrated ability to develop original story ideas
Proficiency in digital editing and photography
Strong writing prowess
Experience with simultaneous management of web content
Extensive knowledge of leveraging social networking for content acquisition and dissemination
Effective team player with a collaborative work ethic
