Work Arrangement - Onsite

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis.

This role requires up to 25-50% domestic and international travel.

WHY: The purpose of this role is to inspire customer confidence and satisfaction in every vehicle by assuring that we are collaborating cross-functionally with our peers to ensure all Manufacturing Electrical & SDV deliverables are managed and achieved to produce quality vehicles.

WHAT: As a PMO Manager you will integrate with multiple organizations to align our Manufacturing Electrical & SDV strategy with our deliverables from cradle to grave of the GDVP.

HOW: Supporting and cultivating a cross functional, collaborative environment to ensure our Manufacturing partners receive our full support.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
  • Demonstrate initiative and autonomy in driving large projects/programs end to end, consistently seeking opportunities for improvements and innovation
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration, operating as a key partner for Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, by employing strategic communication and influencing tactics to maximize collective impact.
  • Exhibit clear and concise communication to executive level, showcasing professionalism through compelling presentations that utilize storytelling and metrics to display project progress and insights.
  • Display a Be Bold behavior by driving accurate and honest results with a sense of urgency, inspiring the team to operate with heightened engagement and efficiency.
  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including Software and Services, Manufacturing Engineering & Operations, and Product PMO to synergize efforts towards future innovations.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • 3+ years of experience related to managing projects and/or programs
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships locally and globally to overcome challenges and drive results
  • Ability to balance multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
  • Ability to execute and navigate ambiguous processes or standard work
  • Strong organizational skills, process oriented
  • Comfortable with using creativity to accomplish tasks and goals


What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
  • 5+ years of experience related to managing projects and/or programs
  • Knowledge of vehicle program teams and GVDP is preferred with the ability to be dynamic in the daily tasks and work with a high level of independence.
  • Knowledge & understanding of electrical commodity product development.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuit operation and automotive hardware interfaces
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Development Process timing and key engineering achievements
  • Knowledge of following GM systems/databases: PPCR, GM Timing Card, PPCs, PRTS, Jira, Jira Align, SharePoint, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC)
  • Black Belt DFSS Certification
