Position Title: Travel  Electrician (Critical Power / UPS / Industrial Projects)

Location:Travel Role — Based out of Lowell, AR

Clearance Requirements:None

Position Status:Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $42/ per hour on W2 (plus per diem and lodging provided)

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Electrician with strong industrial and critical power experience to support UPS and generator replacement projects across multiple commercial client sites nationwide. This role operates as a Lead Electrician/Foreman and involves overseeing field teams, executing high-priority electrical system upgrades, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to engineering standards.

This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and extended trip durations. Ideal candidates are reliable, safety-focused, skilled in conduit installation, power systems, and UPS replacement, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with demanding timelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onsite teams of licensed electricians and apprentices on heavy commercial and industrial electrical projects

  • Install, terminate, and troubleshoot UPS systems, generators, wiring, conduit (¾”–4” EMT and rigid), and distribution equipment

  • Execute conduit bending, wire pulling, equipment swap-outs, and general electrical installation

  • Oversee shutdown, swap, and restart of UPS systems at retail and industrial power sites

  • Read, interpret, and execute from blueprints, schematics, one-lines, and project documentation

  • Operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, bucket trucks, and other elevated work platforms

  • Maintain accurate documentation, communication logs, safety procedures, and work reports

  • Support a fast-paced workflow requiring extended hours (targeting ~60 hours/week, not guaranteed)

    Required Skills & Experience

  • Active Journeyman Electrician License (any U.S. state accepted)

  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial electrical experience

  • Experience with UPS systems, critical power systems, generators, and 24V DC–480V AC electrical environments

  • Experience leading crews or functioning in a Foreman-level role

  • Ability to bend, install, and run conduit (EMT and rigid), pull wire, and perform terminations

  • Experience with lifts and elevated work environments

  • Valid driver's license with clean MVR

  • Ability and willingness to travel full-time with no fixed rotation schedule

    Preferred (Not Required)

  • CompTIA NFPA 70E Training (preferred, not required)

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

  • Experience working on Walmart, big-box retail sites, or large-scale distribution centers

  • PLC, automation, or industrial controls experience
