Job Summary:
The AI Governance Analyst plays a key role in ensuring the responsible and ethical development, deployment, and oversight of artificial intelligence (AI) systems within the organization. This role focuses on aligning AI initiatives with legal, regulatory, ethical, and risk management standards to ensure compliance, transparency, and fairness in AI-driven decision-making.
Governance Framework Development:
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to cross-functional AI governance councils and working groups.
Risk & Compliance Monitoring:
- Identify and assess risks related to AI/ML systems, including bias, fairness, accountability, transparency, privacy, and security.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR, NIST AI RMF).
Model Oversight & Auditing:
- Assist in auditing AI and ML models for ethical considerations, performance accuracy, and adherence to governance standards.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to document model lineage, explainability, and validation.
Regulatory & Ethical Alignment:
- Stay current on AI-related regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Provide insights and recommendations to ensure alignment with evolving global and regional AI governance requirements.
Training & Awareness:
- Support the development of training materials and awareness programs related to responsible AI use.
- Promote a culture of ethical AI use across teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with legal, compliance, risk, data science, and engineering teams to ensure a coordinated governance approach.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Ethics, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Policy, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in risk management, data governance, compliance, or related discipline.
- Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their ethical, legal, and social implications.
- Knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, AI Act, NIST frameworks).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with AI governance tools or model documentation platforms (e.g., model cards, datasheets for datasets).
- Familiarity with algorithmic auditing, model risk management, or AI/ML lifecycle management.
- Certifications (e.g., Certified AI Ethics Professional, CIPP, or similar) are a plus.
