Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Desktop Support Technician with expertise in Windows environments, Office 365 administration, networking, and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting our organization's desktop computing environment, ensuring smooth operations and high levels of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide frontline technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Administer Office 365 services, including user management, email setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts, groups, and policies.
  • Ensure network connectivity and perform basic network troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and security patches.
  • Assist in the implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and deployments.
  • Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Office 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred).
