Are you ready to bring your fiber optic expertise to a high-impact infrastructure project? We are looking for motivated OSP Fiber Technicians to join a growing team. What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install, splice, test, and maintain underground fiber optic cables across various environments.
  • Operate jetting equipment, such as the Minijet, to deploy fiber using compressed air through microducts.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, fiber schematics, and route maps.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare for fiber deployment.
  • Document fiber routes, splice points, and test results.
  • Troubleshoot fiber issues using OTDR and other diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fellow technicians to meet deadlines.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry standards throughout all phases of work.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in fiber optic installation or telecom fieldwork.
  • Skilled with fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and jetting systems (especially the Minijet).
  • Strong understanding of OSP construction practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Fiber optic certifications (FOA CFOT, ETA).
  • Experience with GIS mapping and digital documentation.
  • Familiarity with permitting and utility coordination.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Graniteville, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
