Position Purpose:

Recruiting a Web Engineer to work in our Professional Services, Tech Services department. In this role, the Web Engineer is to ensure the successful implementation of the online bill payment suite of products for our clients. The Web Engineer will work with a variety of web technologies with focus on implementing universal and responsive bill payment applications including strategic business initiatives such at Cash Flow Central, CheckFree Next UI, and Payments 360, as well as Zelle and Transfer Now.

Fiserv is currently recruiting a Web Engineer to work in our Professional Services department. The purpose of the Web Engineer is to ensure the successful implementation of the online bill payment suite of products for our clients. The role will work with a variety of web technologies focus on implementing universal bill payment applications including consumer, small business, mobile, person to person payments. Works directly with project management, quality and business analyst to complete client request. Performance is typically measured by the delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours, utilization (i.e. billable hours), client satisfaction, and team goal attainment. Provides support to functional teams to determine nature of issues and identify possible solutions. Participates in the development of and follows process improvement plans for the entire team as identified. The senior position is expected to work under minimal supervision with oversight provided by the Manager of the Web Engineering team. The senior position will lead initiatives for internal strategic goals, coordinating communication and activities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Ensure predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery

Exhibit proactive behavior by participating in project planning activities, including but not limited to: Definition of the scope of the project; Meeting the major milestones and associated dates for project activities; Identifying and communicating project dependencies and impacts

Proactively communicate the project s progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle for the technical responsibilities

Interact with company and client managers and leadership

May participate in sales, project cost estimating, proposal generation/presentation

Involves extensive interaction with members of cross-functional teams

Technical responsibilities include review and assessment of technical design and requirements, problem identification, engineering work related to branding and configuration to customization, deployment and implementation, integration testing coordination, solution deployment, and may include some client training

Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor degree (B.A. or B.S.) in MIS, computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience

Job Related Experience:

5-7 years of previous web based technology related experience

Strong application knowledge / experience with HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate/relate to all levels of an organization internally and externally

Experience implementing Java or .Net related technologies

Experience with Photoshop

Working knowledge of source code archival tools such as TFS, CVS, SVN, or SourceSafe

Experience with Windows, Unix, NT and Linux server environments

Ability to lead a collective team of business and technical personnel through event planning, event management and final resolution

Proficient in debugging through simulation and trouble tracking

Ability to develop, prepare test data and test technical solution

Troubleshooting in environments such as Win32, Linux, and Solaris
