Senior Manager Commercial Analytics
Job Details
A top client in media industry is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics to join our dynamic team on a long term contract basis. This is an individual contributor opportunity.
This position requires an onsite presence 3 days per week in New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage advanced analytics projects from concept to execution, delivering innovative solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Drive advanced analytics initiatives that accelerate subscriber and revenue growth
- Partner with marketing and cross-functional teams to design and evaluate A/B and multivariate experiments, providing robust statistical analysis and insights.
- Oversee high-impact projects involving experimental design, predictive modeling, and machine learning solutions
- Guide the development and implementation of best-in-class machine learning and statistical models to support key business initiatives.
- Translate complex quantitative analyses into clear, actionable insights through compelling data storytelling and visualization.
- Collaborate with data scientists, big data engineers, and business stakeholders
- Engage with senior business stakeholders to shape strategy, define success metrics, and influence data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, articulating the business impact of analytical initiatives.
- Foster strong partnerships with data science, engineering, and business teams to advance analytics maturity and innovation.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, experimental design, and statistical modeling, preferably within a subscription-based or digital business.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with Tableau, Databricks, AWS Redshift, and other data visualization and big data platforms.
- Experience with modern ML techniques: Causal ML (Meta Learners, forecasting), Neural networks, transformers, Sequential modeling (e.g., LSTM, transformers), Recommendation engines, advanced models beyond basic propensity scoring
- Strong research capabilities in order to identify algorithms that can be applied to the client's current platforms and provide solutions to business problems.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical testing, randomized experiments, and predictive modeling algorithms.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong commitment to collaboration, internal client service, and continuous improvement.
