World Wide Technology is looking for a RACF Mainframe Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $65.00 to $75.00 hourly (W2/C2C). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Description:
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a RACF Mainframe Engineer for a 12 Months contract position, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.
In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced RACF Mainframe Security Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale RACF security solutions in large mainframe environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in RACF administration, security controls, and compliance frameworks, along with the ability to partner with infrastructure, application, and audit teams to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with RACF administrationin z/OS mainframe environments.
- Strong expertise in RACF database utilities, exits, rules, and SMF reporting.
- Solid understanding of mainframe system internals(z/OS, JES2/3, TSO/ISPF, JCL).
- Proven track record of working with compliance and audit teams(SOX, PCI, HIPAA).
- Familiarity withmultifactor authentication, encryption, and cryptographic controls in mainframe environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CA-Top Secret or ACF2(for cross-domain integration).
- Knowledge of automation toolssuch as REXX, CLIST, or automation frameworks for RACF administration.
- Exposure to enterprise IAM solutions(SailPoint, Okta, etc.) and integration with RACF.
- Certifications: IBM z/OS Security Specialist, CISSP, or equivalent.
