Job Details
Job Title: Lead Data Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable data solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Matillion.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensure timely delivery.
- Optimize performance, ensure data quality, and enforce best practices in data architecture and engineering.
- Drive continuous improvement in team processes, standards, and technical capabilities.
- Develop and maintain clear technical documentation and stakeholder reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand business needs and present solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise with the Snowflake data warehousing platform and advanced SQL scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Matillion for ETL/ELT pipeline design, development, and orchestration.
- Strong background in data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) and real-time/streaming data ingestion.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud automation.
- Knowledge of orchestration and automation frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
- Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and ensuring data pipeline health and quality.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems and data migration best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Informatica or Azure Synapse for data integration and migration projects.
