Job Details

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, leads and manages System Engineers and Network Engineers. This position is responsible for continuously analyzing user requirements, reviewing documented procedures, policies and workflows, and performing incident and problem management tasks in order to improve overall systems and personnel performance. Also included is the planning, coordination, and implementation of necessary security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and to prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information. Vendor management, including the review of existing and the securing of new maintenance contracts, are another key area of responsibility. Finally, this position provides key input including some authoring of the company s root cause analyses (RCAs), and to key areas of the company s RFP/RFQ responses.


Viable candidates must be willing to work onsite at GSI's headquarters in Palm Harbor, Florida daily.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages various system audits internal and external
  • Firewall Administration
  • Storage Area Network (SAN) Administration
  • Data Server Administration
  • Internet Information Server / Web Server Administration
  • Intranet applications systems and servers
  • DNS Administration
  • Archiving / Backup Administration
  • Mail Server / Exchange Server Administration / O365 Administration
  • File and Print Server / Infrastructure Administration
  • Telecommunications Administration
  • External customer/client support
  • Virtual OneStop (VOS) & Virtual LMI local and client installations/support
  • Research/implementation of new technologies
  • Maintenance and enforcement of logical security measures
  • Maintenance of server room infrastructure (power / HVAC / connectivity)
  • Maintenance of VMWare host and virtual application servers
  • Establishment and management of fault-tolerant systems, organizations, and procedures
  • Eliminates vulnerabilities through the creation of systems that do not allow human error or external events to play a significant role
  • Overall responsibility for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery

Requirements

Credentials and Experience:

  • Minimum Associate s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years system administration experience in appropriate technical environment.
  • Experience in the labor market or regulatory occupation industries preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with all Microsoft Client and Server Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS, DNS / WINS, active directory, Server clustering.
  • Experience with Cisco UCS or equivalent client, server & networking hardware/equipment.
  • Experience with Pure and Nimble Storage Area Networks preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco Firewalls.
  • Experience with all areas of VPN technology & communications
  • Experience with SSL / Certificate Cryptography
  • Experience with various vendor backup solutions
  • Experience with various vendor security management devices and technologies
  • Experience with MS Exchange Server, Skype for Business, SharePoint and SolarWinds Orion

Special Requirements:

  • May also be assigned various projects and tasks as needed.
  • Experience in a Software as a Service is a plus
