job summary:

Our client is looking for a Technical Business Analyst with preferably Insurance or Finance experience. Financial experience is preferred. This is a long term contract role at a dynamic company.




location: Strongsville, Ohio

job type: Contract

salary: $45 - 50 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Associates



responsibilities:


  1. Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  2. Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards
  3. Analyze business data to define and evaluate problems, and recommend software/hardware solutions
  4. Assist in the collection and consolidation of information and data required for project delivery and develop project requirements
  5. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones and phases
  6. Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
  7. Perform Quality Assurance testing
  8. Coordinate final testing with users and verify IT systems satisfy user's requirements
  9. Interviews internal Subject Matter Experts to understand work functions and processes and gather information
  10. Writes detailed procedure documents based on discussions with process owners
  11. Develop materials to document operational end-to-end process flows
  12. Help design, document and maintain system processes
  13. Troubleshoot and resolve simple inquiries and requests from internal and external clients.

Education/Training:


Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience


Experience/Certification:


A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis or a related field


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


Excellent documentation skills


Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills


Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills


Strong experience in user testing and project management


Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook


Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
