Electrical Estimator--Mission Critical Projects
Electrical Estimator
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support our mission critical team on data center projects. The ideal candidate can report out of our NE or SE office locations and will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids to include conceptual estimates and negotiated work. The Electrical Estimator will collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality estimates for projects 2M-20M+ and will support the overall bidding process. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects including low voltage systems.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and materials required.
- Utilize Accubid software to create and maintain comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop cost-effective solutions.
- Participate in negotiations with clients to finalize project costs and terms.
- Ensure estimates are completed in a timely manner and meet company standards.
- Conduct site visits to gather additional information for estimates as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience on projects of similar size and scope.
- 2+ years of prior data center project experience.
- Prior experience as an Estimator directly employed with the electrical contractor.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical estimating processes.
- Proficiency with Accubid software, OST, and other estimating tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with conceptual estimating and negotiated work.
