Site Reliability Engineer

Title: Site Reliability Engineer Data Analytics
Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:
Seeking a mid-level SRE to support the reliability, scalability, and performance of core data analytics platforms. The role focuses on automation (CI/CD, IaC), observability, and operational excellence across tools like Databricks, Informatica, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation & CI/CD: Develop and maintain pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline. Automate infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: Manage cloud performance, auto-scaling, and cost efficiency. Conduct resiliency and performance testing.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response, RCA documentation, and enforce SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets).
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing via Dynatrace, ELK, or AppDynamics.
• Data Platform Reliability: Support Databricks clusters, Informatica workflows, and Power BI gateways.
• Security & Compliance: Manage service accounts, access controls, TLS/SSL, and security incident remediation.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in AWS or Azure environments.
• Automation/Scripting: Python, Bash, or Go.
• IaC & Config Management: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes/ECS.
• Strong Linux, networking, and database (RDS/NoSQL) fundamentals.
• Exposure to Databricks, Informatica, or Power BI preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 4 years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong communication, documentation, and incident management skills.
• On-call availability for production support.
