About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Data Science - Analyst 4 in Bellevue, WA

What you will accomplish:

Job Duties: Conduct product analysis and identify opportunities to drive transformative change in the customer experience and result in significant business growth through mining the largest datasets and leverage big data techniques to extract impactful insights. Utilize statistical models and data visualization software (i.e.: Python, Tableau, SQL, Spark, R, Hadoop, Amplitude, etc.) on large structured and unstructured data to derive insights that improve the relevance and ranking of Search results. Drive integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (Al) capabilities into eBay's search engine. Perform product A/B experiments and provide structured, hypothesis-driven, and data supported practical solutions to facilitate product decisions. Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Business, and Data Science teams to deploy new search features and implement and support data pipelines that leverage eBay's unique platforms and data sets. Lead and oversee the full scope of analytical projects for the GenAI, Autocomplete and Relevance in Search. This role involves managerial responsibilities, including training and mentoring junior analysts to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field plus four years of data science or analytics experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field plus six years of data science or analytics experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. SQL (4 years)

2. Programming experience in Python (3 years)

3. Experience in large scale distributed data mining systems like Spark (2 years)

4. Experience in A/B testing (2 years)

5. Experience in Data visualization tools like Tableau (2 years)

6. Experience in Machine learning and Statistical models (2 years)

7. Experience in Natural language processing (1 year)

8. Experience in product analytics tools like Mixpanel or Amplitude (2 years)

Salary: $183,581.00-262,900.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
