Looking for an opportunity to lead technology in one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic counties in the Southwest? About the Role
The CIO leads a team of 35 professionals across five divisions, including telecommunications, systems administration, GIS, and IT operations. Reporting to the Deputy County Administrator, the CIO will:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for countywide technology
- Direct and develop division managers and technical staff
- Manage departments budgeting, staffing, contracts and technology procurement
- Oversee modernization efforts, including Phase 2 of the County's Oracle Cloud optimization initiative
- Promote collaboration, innovation, cybersecurity, and service excellence

- Knowledgeable in modern and emerging technology practices
- Experienced in directing and overseeing multiple large-scale technology programs and projects
- A strategic thinker and planner
- Experienced with using continuous business practices for processes and software products
- A strong communicator across all levels of an organization
Qualifications
A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities, typically including:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in information technology, including at least five years in a management capacity
