In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and
Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems is seeking experienced FPGA design engineers who are knowledgeable in all aspects of product development. Come be a part of a talented, innovative, and evolving team of FPGA designers working on world class and cutting-edge communications technology.

As a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer, you will:
  • Work with cross-functional teams in developing the latest capabilities to enhance our Integrated Communication Solutions product line
  • Enhance your FPGA technical proficiencies through challenging projects and nurture your career development
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of FPGA engineers; plan, execute, and manage FPGA development on a project
  • Mentor junior FPGA engineers and provide guidance through the early parts of their career
  • Provide estimates and work breakdowns of proposed future efforts, and offer feedback to management on improvements to design process, implementation, and algorithm development

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, with 8+ years of experience, or Master's Degree and 6 years of experience
  • VHDL proficiency for design entry
  • Test bench and simulation expertise with Mentor Graphics QuestaSim
  • Experience with standard vendor toolsets (Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado) in Windows and/or Linux environments
  • Lab verification and debugging
  • Configuration management tools (Git)
  • Architectural experience
  • Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to mentor and lead a team of engineers

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Digital Signal Processing implementation experience and/or algorithm development
  • Experience in communications protocols, waveforms, and products
  • MATLAB/Simulink toolsets and/or verification using test vectors generated from reference models
  • Working knowledge of Verilog
  • Experience with latest device technologies (SOC, high speed interfaces, etc.)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $138120 - $234840

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
