Title: QA Automation Engineer (Playwright & GitHub Actions)
Location: NYC/ Remote 100%
Duration: 12+Months
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright for browser automation and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment pipelines. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through robust automated test suites.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
Design and implement end-to-end testing strategies to ensure product quality.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
Analyze test results and generate reports to share with stakeholders.
Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in automated testing using Playwright.
Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and test automation best practices.
Familiarity with REST APIs and testing APIs using tools or code.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Experience with other testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
Knowledge of performance and security testing.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
