Description:
Candidate will work for the Medical Assistance Transportation Program, MATP project, development team. The MATP project will extend Pennsylvania's statewide FMR modules by allowing Medicaid consumers to submit requests for reimbursements for out-of-pocket travel expenses and allowing MATP administrators to manage and process these requests through the system.
If this initial phase for mileage reimbursement requests proves successful, the business' goal is to expand the capabilities to MATP fixed route ticket reimbursements and beyond MATP to other transportation assistance programs that help disadvantaged populations.
Candidates will work under the direction of the project's Technical Lead and Application Architect to write, test, and document code to implement system features and enhancements.

- Knowledge of Design Patterns and Solid principles
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion

- Experience designing for platform technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, iOS, Android)
- Experience applying WAI-ARIA authoring guidelines and best practices
- Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android)
- Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards
Preferred: Applicants with the following qualifications will be preferred:
- Experience incorporating accessibility tests into the development process
- Experience building digital products where compliance with accessibility standards is part of "definition of done"
Work details:
- Work hours are Monday Friday, 8:30AM 5:00PM excluding state holidays for a maximum of 40 hours/week. Lunch is 12:00PM 12:30PM. The contract assumes an additional 80 hours of unpaid leave in addition to the above per state fiscal year.
- Work location is majority remote; however, selected candidates will be required to report IN PERSON for an interview at PennDOT's offices at 400 North Street, 5th floor, Harrisburg PA. Engaged candidates will also need to report IN PERSON to pick up equipment as part of onboarding and may be required to report for occasional in-person meetings or training.
- Selected candidates must provide a completed PATCH check and work authorization done at vendor expense prior to engagement.
- On-site work location is a secured floor. If candidate has a need to be onsite regularly, a badge will be required. In this case, the candidate would be responsible for the $20 fee for the badge.
- The agency does not provide parking.
