Required Skills (7+ Years):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data protection, and compliance.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft 365 Purview, DLP, Data Classification, App Governance, AIP File Scanner, and Insider Risk Management.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations such as NIST and HIPAA.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate or equivalent.
  • Experience with Purview Data Map and its implementation.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 compliance tools such as Microsoft Compliance Manager.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data governance and compliance.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional projects.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
***This is a hybrid position. The candidate will be required onsite 2-3 days a week.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Purview Architect to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive data governance and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview and related tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data Classification, App Governance, Azure Information Protection (AIP) File Scanner, Insider Risk Management, and Purview Data Map.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Implementation: Architect and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions to meet data governance and compliance requirements.
Data Classification: Develop and maintain data classification schemes to ensure proper handling of sensitive information.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Implement and manage DLP policies to prevent unauthorized sharing and leakage of sensitive data.
App Governance: Establish and enforce policies for application governance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
AIP File Scanner: Configure and manage the Azure Information Protection File Scanner to classify and protect files across the organization.
Insider Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate insider risks using Microsoft Purview tools.
Purview Data Map: Create and maintain a comprehensive data map to provide visibility into data assets and their relationships.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and compliance, to align solutions with organizational goals.
Documentation: Produce detailed design documents, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on Microsoft Purview solutions.
