Position Summary:

A leader in the travel and hospitality industry, which offers state-of-the-art technology and flexible vacation experiences on the high seas is looking to add a Network Engineer to their IT growing team! Within this position, you will be the one to ensure the continuous development of the organization s IT infrastructure and network strategy to support all company s systems performance. The perfect candidate for this role will troubleshoot, control, and ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT environment. Within this company, you will have the opportunity to assist management with strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the company s strategy.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor s or higher degree in Computer Science or related field/experience
• 4+ years hands-on experience with configuration and management of enterprise networking hardware
• Experience with networking protocols including routing protocols and switching
• Expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware/software interconnection and interfacing
• Cisco CCNA OR CCNP desired (a plus)

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Perform basic analysis in the planning, engineering, and design of data networks
• Oversee the execution and deployment of projects and have the authority to approve vendor deliverables
• Develop or enhance network components to align with business requirements and/or infrastructure improvements
• Assess user needs in relation to LAN/WAN hardware and software requirements and capabilities, and provide recommendations for procurement and implementation
• Formulate and document standards for network architecture, collaborating on network integration with guidance from the network manager.
• Oversee the maintenance of network equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Deploys software applications on either LAN or WLAN
• Collaborate with vendors to schedule and execute recommended maintenance updates
• Plan and oversee the scheduling of backups for critical systems, ensuring availability in the event of a system failure
• Recommend and implement the overall infrastructure and network strategy to support the company s systems, 3rd party applications, customer-facing systems, and other platforms
• Define, deliver and support plans for the implementation/enhancement of current/new technologies
• Work with cross-functional teams in order to complete projects in a timely manner
• Evaluate and recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating current/future risk/needs
• Work with outside consultants/auditors as needed for independent security audits
• Maintain an inventory log of all IT systems, assets and IT controls which should include diagrams to show the physical and logical placement of systems and controls according to regulatory requirements
• Routinely monitor, evaluate and test the following IT controls deployed through the company such as Firewalls, security vulnerabilities, and integrity issues, Patch management Virus protection management
