Electrician 3

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 3-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $27.50 per hour

Description:
The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Replace light bulbs, ballasts, drivers, and LED Diodes
• Work Proficiently with 12V-480V
• Trouble shoot Control Panels for HVAC, Plumbing and Lighting
• Program Lighting Control Panels
• Clean and maintain equipment exteriors and surrounding areas
• Conduct visual inspections and report abnormalities to supervisor
• Apply simple sealants and caulking for minor repairs
• Replace cabinet hardware, door stops, and similar basic components
• Unclog drains using manual tools (plungers, hand augers)
• Replace washers and aerators in faucets and fixtures
• Collect and properly dispose of maintenance debris
• Maintain organized supply closets and tool carts
• Document completed tasks in maintenance logs
• Perform basic grounds maintenance (sweeping, debris removal)
• Check and refill fluid levels on designated equipment
• Place containment devices (buckets, absorbent materials) during emergencies

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or certification preferred.
• Ability to use Megger
• Ability to trace and diagnose wiring issues
• Ability to read and follow diagrams and plans
• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
