Job Duties: Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders in defining strategy and scope of the software requirements (decomposing stories, designing features, and prioritizing tasks). Deliver new concepts and features, working alongside development peers in an agile environment. Partner with the scrum master and product owner in providing development sizing and cost analysis estimates. Utilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test driven development in achieving the highest quality in software delivery. Support integration efforts in building whole systems from various subsystems. Identify technology risk early and establishing mitigation plans. Perform tasks that require research and analysis before implementation. Work independently and with supervisory review on moderate to complex programming tasks. Provide analysis of problems and recommend solutions. Work within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain code. Develop reusable front-end modules. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 72 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation or a Master's degree and 48 months. Experience must include: Java and/or C# development; Systems management and monitoring of Retail Trading Website through Grafana Applications monitoring through Governor Monitor tool; Agile methodology applied using Jira processes; Configuration and integration of Hystrix within Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) architecture; Splunk and/or DB log script development; and Exposure to REACT development.
