Summary

The Project Manager, Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for managing strategic information technology related projects. Projects will stem from IT infrastructure projects and Information Security related projects. The position will oversee the projects and ensure the projects meet budget, schedule, and goals.

The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $167,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

This position is based at Corporate Headquarters in Salisbury, MD.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create project charters for various strategic projects and receive endorsement from various project stakeholders.
  • Build out project plans for various projects, while working with cross functional resource managers to ensure the ability to meet project timelines.
  • Follow companies' project management process to ensure projects meet proper governance and architectural criteria.
  • Schedule and conduct project meetings as needed to ensure the success of the project.
  • Manage the project budget, follow companies' internal financial guidelines to procure materials/services to complete the project, and track project savings.
  • Manage and track issues and risk pertaining to projects to ensure smooth project go-lives.
  • Create communication plans and work with various resources to create communications to aid in the deployment of projects.
  • Develop and implement go-live cutover plans and testing plans for various projects.


Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree with preferred emphasis in Management Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a similar role.


Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years Project Management experience, managing large IT projects.
  • Strong written and communication skills, to ensure all team members are on the same page.
  • Strong ability to multitask to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong organizational skills, keeping project timelines up to date and communicating to the team about next steps on a project.
  • Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Jira.


Experience Preferred

  • Project Management Certification i.e. PMP
  • History of managing projects pertaining to Information Technology in the fields of IT infrastructure (Network, Server, Database, and End-User Computing) and Information Security.


Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • When in a plant environment:
    • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
    • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
    • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
    • May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
    • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
