Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Network Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking and firewalls. This position is onsite in Houston, TX, supporting a major Oil & Gas client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco firewalls (ASA), routers, and switches

  • Support the conversion from Cisco ASA to Palo Alto firewalls

  • Interface with and manage third-party engineers performing firewall migrations

  • Provide frontline network troubleshooting and support for large-scale enterprise environments

  • Monitor network performance and utilize tools such as SolarWinds, Riverbed, Wireshark, and Splunk

  • Create and manage service requests, outages, and change requests via internal service portals

  • Ensure smooth operations of field networks, including industrial routers and wireless bridges

  • Forecast and manage scheduled maintenance activities

  • Communicate effectively with end users and cross-functional teams

Must-Have Skills:

  • Cisco ASA Firewall Configuration (not just troubleshooting)

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches

  • Experience managing firewall conversions and 3rd-party vendors

  • Strong command of EIGRP, BGP, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, and spanning tree

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls

  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE/NAC, Gigamon, Riverbed, Splunk, and SolarWinds

  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN)

  • Oil & Gas field support experience

Employment Details:

  • W2 only No C2C or 1099

  • Onsite role Candidates must be willing to relocate or commute daily to Houston, TX
