Position: AS400 Synon Developer (PBM)
Location: Onsite- Minneapolis, MN (locals Preferred; Relocation Ok)
Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description

Seeking a Senior AS400 Synon Developer with deep expertise in core Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) functions and legacy iSeries/AS400 technologies. Lead development, optimization, and Agile teams in an onshore/offshore model to deliver robust adjudication, pricing, and benefit solutions.

Required Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong functional knowledge of core PBM functions: core adjudication, pricing, accumulators, Medicare Part D (MED D) Pricing, benefit plans, patient pay, and regulations (e.g., RxClaim experience)

  • 15+ years hands-on coding in CA/2E (Synon), including programming, array handling, commit control

  • 8+ years hands-on coding in COBOL AS400 and/or COBOL ILE

  • Experience with ACMS/MOM

  • Strong exposure to DB2/400

  • Must-have skills: iSeries, SYNON, COBOL, AS400 (Mid-Range), ILE, COBOL/400, CLLE, SQL

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze functional/technical requirements and refine with business/capability teams.

  • Guide teams and perform hands-on development for efficient solutions.

  • Optimize applications and identify fine-tuning opportunities.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and team learning.

  • Lead onshore/offshore teams and contribute to technology roadmaps.

  • Coordinate with clients for requirement clarification and solution discussions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred).

  • Proven leadership in team-focused environments.
