ES221 Scientific Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled scientific software developer to support the NASA Goddard Geodesy and Geophysics Laboratory in geodetic research through the analysis of satellite tracking data. The selected candidate will provide dedicated, high-level expert support of the GEODYN software and its supporting software elements and data sets.

Required:
  • B.S. in Geodetic Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of research experience in satellite geodesy, static and time variable gravity recovery from satellite observations, satellite laser and radar altimetry, satellite precision orbit determination, force and measurement modeling for orbit determination and geodetic parameter estimation for Earth and planetary applications.
  • Experience with model algorithm development and implementation.

Desired:
  • M.S. in Geodetic Science or a related field.
  • GEODYN Software Development experience.
  • Co-I on NASA related scientific proposals.
