Description

The Data Analyst delivers accurate, timely, and actionable insights that drive sales performance, deepen customer understanding, and inform strategic decision-making. This role maintains data integrity and accessibility across multiple platforms, including Salesforce, and utilizes business intelligence tools such as Tableau to develop clear, impactful dashboards and reports. By transforming data into meaningful analysis, the Data Analyst enables leadership and sales teams to make informed decisions that support growth and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer and manage Salesforce data (objects, fields, relationships, user access, data loads/exports, data integrity) aligned with analytics requirements.

Import and integrate data from multiple internal and external sources (e.g., distributor point-of-sale (POS) reports, Salesforce, marketing automation, SAP B1, Excel/CSV files, APIs) into a common analytics environment.

Perform heavy data cleaning, validation, and transformation on non-standardized data sources (e.g. POS reports from distributors) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency across reporting systems.

Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that communicate business trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable insights.

Develop and embed Tableau dashboards within Salesforce to provide a seamless user experience, enabling sales teams to access critical insights directly within their workflow.

Analyze sales and customer data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities (e.g., sales funnel velocity, pipeline forecasting, territory performance, customer segmentation, and campaign ROI) that drive strategic initiatives and improve business outcomes.

Utilize cleaned POS and sales data to calculate, validate, and deliver accurate and timely commission reports to Sales and Finance teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations) to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.

Support data governance and documentation, including data dictionaries, process workflows, and reporting standards.

Provide guidance and training to internal users on dashboard functionality and data interpretation to promote self-service analytics.

Monitor and evaluate data processes and reporting tools, recommending improvements or automation opportunities as appropriate.

Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and tools related to data analytics, visualization, and CRM systems.
