Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Artillery Subject Matter Expert to join our team building mission critical applications for the US Army. In this role you will provide guidance on how the Army conducts operational tasks, assists in breaking down capabilities, provides input to system engineering documentation, assists in agile demo preparations and supports the program in the field in support of AFATDS AXS.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Break down AFATDS capabilities in support of Command Post and Field Artillery needs
  • Develop CONOPS for the new system
  • Support Agile Demo Preparation
  • Assist system engineering team in review design documentation
  • Assist the program with field-level demo
  • Create Training and Support documentation

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Active Secret clearance is preferred; candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • Served in the military in support of Command Post operations, Field Artillery, or Joint Targeting
  • Have worked on Agile SW programs
  • Experience with communicating system requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with conducting system decomposition and CONOPS for tactical capabilities.
  • Use your understanding of staff roles, functions and organizational structures, including Targeting Working Group and Decision Board functions, to support systems engineering activities driving the development of novel software capabilities to support the warfighter
  • Identify unit specific data sources and systems needed to be integrated in the SW baseline
  • Capture user stories, customer use cases, and draft System Engineering artifacts representative of more complex customer/user environments and scenarios

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Worked with AFATDS or JADOCS
  • Worked with Intel solutions such as DCGS
  • Worked with Command Post Systems such as CPOF, JBCP, or CPCE
  • Understand Division and above targeting
  • Work with user organizations and operational units to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and TTPs that enable the user to make effective use of the prototype solution
  • Work with Army, Joint, and Coalition units to understand their network, systems and processes; use that understanding to improve software design and TTPs

Key Technologies/Skills:
  • Understands AFATDS. JADOCS, CPOF, CPC, DDS, etc. (Mission Command Systems)
  • Understands Intel data
  • Understands Airspace data and deconfliction
