Description

Leidos is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) Team, providing support to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Infrastructure Engineering Center.

We are looking for applicants with experience as a Project Engineer and/or Resident Engineer with Civil Engineering Design and experience with tower, shelter and similar structure projects.

Location: FAA Northwest Mountain Regional Office - Des Moines, WA

Telework: 60%

Travel: 25-35%

Civil Engineer Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the Navigation Engineering Center, for accomplishment of project engineering packages.

  • Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion.

  • Compile and complete project documents.

  • Provide technical engineering support for all phases of assigned new construction and renovation projects (i.e. evaluate shop drawings, design proposals, and interpret the technical requirements for adherence to contract documents).

  • Participate in Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI) on all assigned projects and provide recommended resolutions on all items relating to engineering.

  • Perform engineering studies for feasibility and cost versus benefit.

  • Provide technical input to the Government Technical Interpreter in actions to plan, budget, program, and coordinate the development of engineering projects.

  • Develop project drawings in accordance with the FAA Standard/guidelines.

Civil Engineer Required Qualifications:

  • General Engineering Degree (B.S.)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Engineer and/or Resident Engineer with Civil Engineering Design and experience with tower, shelter and similar structure projects

  • Knowledge of Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability

Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD.

  • Knowledge of Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12.

  • Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Tower (NASET).

  • Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB).

  • Knowledge of Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), power, general building construction techniques, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), fire detection, security, site work.

Targeted salary will be $105,000.00 - $115,00.00, based on experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
