We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Network Engineer position based in or near Irvine, CA (onsite). Interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-Time Direct Hire

Description:

Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, the Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for implementing/securing/maintaining/managing and monitoring core Infrastructure and SDWAN sites. Candidate will also assist and provide technical guidance over new projects, acquisitions and new build outs enterprise wide.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain data center network Infrastructure comprised of Arista, Palo Alto, Cisco and Fortinet SD WAN.
  • Monitor sites using SolarWinds (+700 Sites) and improve network performance
  • Apply security patches and firmware updates (Software/Hardware)
  • Advance network troubleshooting SDWAN sites, Corporate Office, Clubs, Remote Offices and Data centers
  • Assist System Administrators/In-house Development teams with network troubleshooting, Server to Server communication, ACL, VLANs etc.
  • Create new PaloAlto firewall policies based on request and troubleshoot user/server access
  • Create VPN tunnels
  • Support remote VPN users using FortiClient
  • Design/Create Azure Networks (VNET)
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance for projects leveraging network resources
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to other staff members
  • Communicating network outages with relevant team members and management
  • Data center visits for network maintenance
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 On-Call rotation

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency working on Palo Alto firewall or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge working with Fortinet firewalls, troubleshooting access issues, creating policies and troubleshooting advance issues.
  • Experience working in a high availability 24x7 environment
  • 6+ years of experience managing and configuring Cisco routers and switches in a data center environment with emphasis on high availability
  • Strong knowledge of datacenter design and troubleshooting.
  • In depth knowledge of static and dynamic routing..
  • At least 5 years experience working in a datacenter environment with extensive knowledge of MEC technologies.
  • Desired experience with Arista switches

Preferred certifications:

  • Fortinet
  • CCNA
  • Palo Alto

Working Conditions/Physical Effort:

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working late evening and weekends, sometimes with little to no advance notice
  • Light travel to the Data Center and remote sites
  • Regionally accessible (Orange County/Los Angeles/Riverside/San Diego)
