Role Overview
The Software Testing Senior Associate will execute and coordinate end-to-end testing (E2EET) for Ford's high-integrity commitments and business-critical initiatives. This role ensures quality and usability across multiple platforms, including mobile apps, in-vehicle systems, and web portals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Ford-provided test scripts and log results in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Support testing across iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Ford HMI (SYNC4), web portals, and dealer systems.
- Attend daily stand-ups (remote or on-site) and provide defect triage support within 4 business hours.
- Conduct Detroit-based vehicle interaction tests for at least 30% of total test hours during peak windows.
- Deliverables include:
- Daily Test Execution Logs with complete pass/fail/blocked status.
- Defect Detail Packages with reproduction steps, environment details, and supporting evidence (screenshots, videos).
- Cycle-Exit Summaries with coverage, defect analysis, and PDCA recommendations.
- Optional: Author new end-to-end test cases for emergent journeys.
Skills Required
- Acceptance Testing and E2EET execution.
- Ability to validate customer journeys across digital and physical touchpoints.
- Strong defect identification and escalation skills.
- Provide customer-centric feedback on test cases and usability.
- Deliver executive summaries with PDCA recommendations within 2 weeks of project completion.
- Ensure 90% test case execution within committed timelines.
Experience & Education
- Experience:
- 4+ years in IT; 2+ years in software testing.
- Customer experience and insight preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Additional Information
- Candidate must provide own smartphones and laptops; Ford will provide vehicles, pre-production hardware, credentials, and software access.
- Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform BigQuery) is a plus but not mandatory.
